RISE Culinary Institute offers a hands-on, culturally inclusive training program designed specifically for refugee and immigrant women from low-income households. Our mission is to provide not just culinary skills—but confidence, community, and a pathway to economic independence.
In just a few months, you’ll learn the foundations of cooking, safety, sanitation, teamwork, and kitchen professionalism, all while honoring your own cultural roots.
We blend professional culinary training with empowerment and community. At RISE, students don’t just learn recipes—they learn how to lead, believe in themselves, and create a future through food. We celebrate culture through Cultural Days, provide mentorship and coaching, and honor every student’s heritage.
All equipment, uniforms, and meals during class are provided free of charge.

RISE gave me the courage to believe in myself. I never thought I’d feel so proud in a kitchen.
It’s more than cooking. It’s healing. It’s connection. It’s hope.
