Lavanya is an award-winning restaurateur, entrepreneur, and visionary behind RISE. As an immigrant woman who once couldn’t work due to her visa status, Lavanya understands firsthand the power of reclaiming one’s voice, value, and independence. She founded RISE to provide that same opportunity to others through the language of food.
She is the owner of multiple successful restaurants, the recipient of Utah Business Person of the Year 2024, and a James Beard Award Finalist for Outstanding Restaurateur.
RISE is where skills are learned, stories are honored, and confidence is born.
We are educators, mentors, and supporters who walk beside each woman on her journey—equipping her with skills and belief in her own power.
